Guest moosery Posted June 11, 2005 Report Posted June 11, 2005 is that what causes it? I have observed that phenomenon but assumed it was due to some programs or memory leaks or just "cos"
Guest dodding nonkey Posted June 11, 2005 Report Posted June 11, 2005 An interesting slant on an ages old topic. I shall watch this thread with interest. Any one got an answer?
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted June 12, 2005 Report Posted June 12, 2005 It is not possible to connect your phone to the pc without it charging, this will not damage or affect battery life unless you are only plugging it in for a few seconds or minutes at a time. If that is the case then you are not giving the battery time to charge properly but unlike Ni-Cd and Ni-mh batteries Li-ion only have a very small form of memory problem which is not normally seen under normal use. The main way to damage a Li-ion battery is to try and fully discharge it, in doing so you will damage the capacitance of the battery and seriously shorten it's life.
