SPV C500 Audio Hardware

I have broken my headphones supplied for my SPV C500. I went to my Orange shop and they said that they don't stock it- which seems rather stupid.

I require headphones which go into the smaller socket and have two earpieces. Not really bothered about the inbuilt microphone.

Any ideas on where to get them please send in the links.

Not sure where you can get replacement headphones from but if you're not bothered about the microphone have you thought of getting a 3.5mm to 2.5mm jack converter (ebay, maplin, or somewhere like that) and then you can simply buy a decent set of headphones anywhere and use them? There's a few threads around about this and it's (apparently) important that the converter specifies stereo as some people have ended up with mono ones.

Just a thought as this will probably work out cheaper and better sound quality than getting a set from Orange.

The most common problem with c500 earphones is the connections coming loose inside, i had one earphone coming on and off, if your handy with a soldering iron and a glue gun, crack off the two silver parts at either side of the microphone, lever the piece apart with a knife or flat screwdriver, solder the loose connections back in and glue gun it back together you cant even notice it on mine, hey their broke mite as well give it a try!!
