However, the C550 looks rather tasty and is supposed to be out in "the middle of the year". Any inside knowledge? How long? Orange are offering me a C500 for free so I'm very tempted...

But I dont think its worth spending all that money, the only major difference are the dedicated media buttons, which are pretty useless. I think u should wait, soon smartphones will have GPS in them too as a standard thing, and that will really rock. Imagine the HTC Universal had GPS! OH MAN Then I would buy it!

I did look, just didn't see anything, no need to go mad! ;) Hm, tis tempting to wait, but the c500 appeals because it's free... (and my P900 ran out of memory again today and reset itself!). I heard that the C550 also has a megapixel camera if that is your bag.

Must have been having a bad day :roll: If I were you I'd wait for the C550 and hope that it turns up next month as suggested. Then again, the C500 is the best phone on the market and they want to give you one for free. A C500, that is... :oops: You will probably have to shell out a ton for a C500 upgrade.... Got anything else you want to spend the moolah on ? Final decision : get the C500 and a cheap flight to Ibiza. As soon as the C550 is out this forum will be full of people moaning about its shortcomings. ;) Therefore best to wait for the second manufacturing run when they've sorted out the teething problems.
Guest extravagant Posted June 18, 2005 Report Posted June 18, 2005 I say just get the C500, C550 is not innovative. Wait untila proper phone comes out, fully loaded with gps, wifi, qurty keyboard, bluetooth etc etc! it shouldn't be 2 long!
