activating tomtom

hello,

i was wondering if anyone could advise me on an issue i'm having. i bought tomtom3 in December last year and installed it on my m1000 then a week later i installed it on my wifes pda. i have been given tomtom 5 upgrade which has been installed without any problems...but now i have a new ppc (qtek 2020i). I installed tomtom3 but when i go to get the activation key from tomtom's site it says the producted can no longer be activated.

do i have to wait for a year or something, i mean people upgrade ppc's all the time so why can't you transfer programmes :evil: .

I now have tomtom5 on a m1000 which i want to sell and no tomtom at all on my qtek 2020i which i want to keep :cry:

You need to raise a ticket with Tomtom support. They'll need to see evidence that you've actually changed the device, and not just trying to install on 2 devices.

It's likely that you'll have to remove Tomtom 5 on the M1000, if you want to have it installed on the Qtek. You've only got a license for use on one device.

Bear in mind that the Tomtom 5 upgrade cancels out the Tomtom 3 license - in other words you can't get a new code for Tomtom 3 now that you've upgraded.

i am gonna get rid of the m1000 anyway so i'm not bothered about that but only after this ets sorted out

Ooh, what is the TomTom phone number?

My boss has just had his iMate PPC repared, and can't activate TomTom on it. If I could give him a phone number to call them, this would be faster than signing up on their website and emailing them.
