Guest unicron Posted June 14, 2005 Report Posted June 14, 2005 hello, i was wondering if anyone could advise me on an issue i'm having. i bought tomtom3 in December last year and installed it on my m1000 then a week later i installed it on my wifes pda. i have been given tomtom 5 upgrade which has been installed without any problems...but now i have a new ppc (qtek 2020i). I installed tomtom3 but when i go to get the activation key from tomtom's site it says the producted can no longer be activated. do i have to wait for a year or something, i mean people upgrade ppc's all the time so why can't you transfer programmes  . I now have tomtom5 on a m1000 which i want to sell and no tomtom at all on my qtek 2020i which i want to keep
Guest dazza12 Posted June 14, 2005 Report Posted June 14, 2005 You need to raise a ticket with Tomtom support. They'll need to see evidence that you've actually changed the device, and not just trying to install on 2 devices. It's likely that you'll have to remove Tomtom 5 on the M1000, if you want to have it installed on the Qtek. You've only got a license for use on one device. Bear in mind that the Tomtom 5 upgrade cancels out the Tomtom 3 license - in other words you can't get a new code for Tomtom 3 now that you've upgraded.

My boss has just had his iMate PPC repared, and can't activate TomTom on it. If I could give him a phone number to call them, this would be faster than signing up on their website and emailing them.
