Guest NismO_UK Posted June 14, 2005 Report Posted June 14, 2005 Hi, I've just got Tomtom on my SPV M2000 and it's all working fine. I do have one question though, when trying to input postcodes or any other numbers, when I press the 'Fn' button on my keyboard it inputs a small 'n' with an accent instead of switching the keyboard to number mode. How the hell do I input numbers into Tomtom? Is there a way to access the on screen keyboard within Tomtom? Also, is there any way to make the woman louder? I have the volume set to 100% but it is not very loud if I have my stereo on. Cheers!!
Guest unicron Posted June 15, 2005 Report Posted June 15, 2005 i got me an qtek 2020i (xda2i) so do not have a slidey keyboard but you can use the on screen keyboard. which tomtom are yiu using. if you have tomtom5 there are problems with postcode but not numbers.

See this link for confirmation that it is a known bug: link here I have discovered a wee fix, however. I'm running digital eXPerience (a kind of XP-style 'Today') and it allows you to assign a hard-button to take you to the desktop. While inputting an address/postcode using the slide-down keyboard, you can go to this desktop, press the Fn key twice to activate numbers on the keypad and then reactivate TomTom (minimised just like in XP) to key in the numbers. Then you just minimise TomTom again, deactivate the number function and maximise TomTom to continue using the keyboard to input letters. Not ideal, I know. At least we can input numbers till the fix arrives. (Get used to doing it this way though - TomTom ain't very quick as far as I can tell) Hope that helps. GH Edited June 20, 2005 by pizdyetz77
Guest pizdyetz77 Posted June 22, 2005 Report Posted June 22, 2005 A bit more news - You don't need eXPerience to minimise TomTom. Pressing the red 'hang-up' button minimises it on my M2000 as well. TomTom then sits as a tray icon next to the Bluetooth icon in the bottom right. Pressing it maximises it again. There you go . . . . GH
