Bluetooth connection straight to modem

I was looking at the specs for the Wanadoo Livebox today, and I notice that one of the new features (at last on the French version) is Bluetooth, which it claims will enable a cellphone/pda to surf the net, recieve and send e-mails etc via the modem apparently without needing to switch the PC on.

Has anyone got any idea how this works? and has anyone tried it?
