It seems from what I have picked up from this forum that the apps may not be transferable to the C550. I really like the look of the i-mate SP3i and as earlier problems have been rectified I would like to know if everything in the operating system and functions are identical to the C500 and what is the user experience like? Guest smeg36 Posted June 15, 2005 Report Posted June 15, 2005 The C500 and SP3i are based on the same hardware set, so the ROM's are also very similar. All the core features and functions are transferable (I went from a SMT5600 to SP3i), but the carrier brandings and customized applications are different. For example, the SP3i comes with a great games and ringtones bundle that the C500 and SMT5600 don't have. I have found it very easy to transfer from a SMT5600 to a SP3i. It is a very similar phone, just slightly better.
