TomTom on C500

Hi All,

Just upgraded my E200 to a C500.

I have copied all files over from the MMC card to mini-sd, have run TT on the phone and it will not connect to the GPS receiver.

I believe I need a traffic update for it to work on the C500, but where do I get this from? I'm not subscribed to their traffic service..

You don't need the traffic plugin if your using the TomTom GPS Ariel that it came with...

Unless of course your original unit got stolen and you've been forced to purchase another brand.

Or the obvious one would be your using a pirate copy of TomTom ;)

ah nop I did get it working afterall.

You do need the traffic plugin to use TT4 on the C500.

Using all original software / hardware & all legit. Don't want to spend the extra money on upgrade till I'd use it enough to make it worth it!

You do, in fact, need the traffic update to get TomTom 4 working on the C500. This was well documented in the original thread, and in fact, until this update was released, TomTom themselves stated the C500 was not supported. You could run the program, but the Traffic Update included a BT fix for this device :D
