Ok.... does anyone know if microsoft will have the 2005 os upgrade for smartphones. I have heard the HP upgrade support and also that phatware will be supporting the upgrade. I own the samsung i600 and have verizon wireless. I really want a new os for my smartphone... let me know if anyone has heard any updates on the situation.

i think i read it wasnt going to be offered for download. The windows site has something about only releasing it with new smartphones, and only certain phones now can upgrade, ill try to find that link.

While not completely impossible, it is extremely unlikely that Verizon would release WM5 for the i600. The hardware is getting dated and Verizon wants to sell you a new device! Not that Verizon will have a new Smartphone device to sell you any time soon.
