MPX200 ringtone's problem

I'm a newbie of this phone. I just get it today and try to install some midi file into it through microsoft activesync. I can browse the files inside the phone but I just can't install or transfer any type of files from my pc into it.

What's the problem?

The MPx200 will only play MID0 format files as ringtones.

You can get MIDI format converters easily enough with a quick Google but the results are usually atrocious.

Yes I know that it can only support Wav and midi ringtone.

The problem is when I copy the midi file to the storage/application data/sounds/ folder, nothing happen.....

What's up? Is the phone's problem or something else?

When you say nothing is happening do you mean that you can not access them or they just give a single "ding" type noise?

If it's the noise then the tones are not the correct type and need encoding to the correct format.

When I transfer a wav song to my mpx 200 and save in under sounds I get the "ding' noise. I have tried sync it with windows media player but it still doesn't work. I have even downloaded to the SD card and it will play under the windows media player on my phone but I can not get it to work as a ringtone. Any ideas?

Wav files need to be PCM-format. You can use Windows Sound Recorder to 'Save As' this format. It is in Programs, Accessories, Entertainment on your PC.

The Mpx200 will only play MID0 format files as ringtones. There are free converters you can find with a quick Google.

I don't think that I have WM2003. When I checked it said it was WM2002 any idea on how to get the WM2003?

You do not need 2003 and also it's not legally available.

wma rintones are not that special over other formats apart from their size.

Err... After converting the midi to midi0.. when i open the midi file it takes 2 seconds to start to play and after 20 seconds the midi starts screwing my mobile, it hangs.. or the midi thics over ... is this a known problem? help me :)

Btw, when it really hangs the system, it automaticly reboot =/
