Guest Smallfoot Posted June 18, 2005 Report Posted June 18, 2005 SPV C500 question. I have searched over and over but I cannot seem to find where you change the name of your phone for other bluetooth phones to recognise?? :| I clearly remember there was an option for it and also included changing the pass key etc etc. Any help appreciated, thanks!
Guest Smallfoot Posted June 18, 2005 Report Posted June 18, 2005 Someone surely can tell me where it's supposed to be? ;)
Guest sSword Posted June 18, 2005 Report Posted June 18, 2005 Someone surely can tell me where it's supposed to be? ;) I have tried connecting to other blutooth phones (nokia, samsung) and never been able too :D it can see other devices but can never connect.... ;) TBH I did not try any thing else to make it work.
Guest furby Posted June 18, 2005 Report Posted June 18, 2005 (edited) Not too tricky to find, Settings-->Bluetooth-->Bluetooth setting Change the "Device Name" to whatever you want. I have the passkey required unticked, don't really see the point. sSword, might just be that you need to tick "recieve incoming beams" start--> settings-->beam Edited June 18, 2005 by Furby™
Guest Smallfoot Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 Yeah thats where I reckoned it was :| but i'm pretty sure its not there anymore. I remember it being there but its not there nemore :| The phone did cold boot a few times for some reason perhaps that done some damage? Should I perhaps restore to factory settings?
Guest Confused Stu Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 Two other options (if the thing in Settings isn't there anymore): a) Find the bit where it's recorded in the registry and alter it there. :-k or :D Download RJV Regtweaks from http:www.airfagev.com. It's free and one of the easily changable options is to alter the bluetooth name. Have fun! ;)
Guest Griff_FFOC Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 Can you get into the settings by holding down the "Home Key" and using the quick list?
Guest Smallfoot Posted June 22, 2005 Report Posted June 22, 2005 Nope but thanks for trying lol, will try the registry stuff. Thanks m8 ;)
