ORANGE SPV C500 long SMS ringtone

I need help to solv the follow problem: I own Orange smartphone SPV C500.

When I use some long song for SMS ringtone, my phone always play it all. Its

a bit crazy, if the tone has for example 3 minutes, that the phone rings the

melody,that sms has come, even though that i have already read the sms and

also answered it. How can I resolve this problem ?

This is a regular question and the only way to solve it is to use a shorter sound file.

If you're using a wav file you can trim it with Windows Sound Recorder - in Programs, Accessories, Entertainment on your PC.
