Guest Paul [MVP] Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 Nice! How did you find that?!? I'm download now... P
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 I can't seem to get it to work  Designed an image background, named and saved it downloaded to the phone and told me the file already existed? then it stated saved ok so went and had a look, all that had changed was the layout to the apps default colour and my image was nowhere to be seen? :? Any ideas
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 Just try selecting "download to device" when creating the scheme. Heres the result of my first play with it ;)
Guest HelloDave Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 Er... I hope that isn't a sign of sarcasm towards a mark 2 Fiesta. They're design classics you know :? Well, I don't know anyone who hasn't driven one anyway! Sorry, going off topic! This could be a handy program though - eaiser than editing XML! Amazing M$ are giving us any free software for the SmartPhone at all - they haven't fallen over themselves to support it so far...
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 As far as I could work out it just did colours and backgrounds, not the XML? Vrai ou Faux? P
Guest HelloDave Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 I said XML becuase I was thinking about colour schemes being stored as XML? Comprendez? ;) (Sorry, couldn't resist!)
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 Oui... But it would be a lot better if it actually managed the home screen layout too! P
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted January 18, 2003 Report Posted January 18, 2003 the actual xml in the .home.xml seems to be ok. That is infact my car. Also iam unfortunately very frunk and kndly requet wat no bad commens at y car as i am 18 anf cannoit afford any better, still i like it :?)
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted January 18, 2003 Report Posted January 18, 2003 oops vodka, i dont remeber posting that :/
Guest janagan Posted January 18, 2003 Report Posted January 18, 2003 Damnit!!! Damnit!!! where is the WinME version....y do all the developers have a grudge against us poor WinME users.
Guest arawak Posted January 18, 2003 Report Posted January 18, 2003 Probably because ME is so sh*t. It was a step backwards when they released that abortion of an operating system. ;) No offence
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted January 18, 2003 Report Posted January 18, 2003 None taken (about ME) but for me winME runs fine with no problems at all. I had to upgrade to ME as the 98se totaly screwed my system up. I'm still unsure aboup xp so I for one will stick with what I have ;)
Guest AsherUK Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 If you have a good enough PC system then get XP, I wasn't really sure about it at first but now I have it there's no way I'd go back to 98/ME. ...Back to the topic, theme gen is ok, but some sort of layout/xml generator would be nicer, as it's quite easy to design the background in a paint/drawing app but sorting out the layout in xml is a little harder.

Agreed, a WYSIWYG editor where you can drag around the plugins/screen components would be great.
Guest ClintEastman Posted February 13, 2003 Report Posted February 13, 2003 For how long has the MoDaCo link been on Microsoft's SmartPhone site?
Guest Will Posted February 13, 2003 Report Posted February 13, 2003 Nearly finished drag and drop left click right click version: been a nightmare as most plugins are 'quirky' screenshot so far. Will
