Non-TomTom GPS Recommendations

Hi all,

I've got a C500 with all the TomTom software installed, but my current GPS (since the original TomTom one broke), an Aktronix (http://www.aktronix.com/product.asp?P_ID=129) GPS seems to be flakey, and never really gets a signal more than 3 bars, and regularly drops out. Does anyone have any suggestions of some good GPS systems they currently use that get a good signal. Especially interested to hear from anyone with a heated front screen in their car as I have a heated screen and always wondered if it'll affect the GPS or not.
