Guest lee_marshall Posted June 20, 2005 Report Posted June 20, 2005 Hi Guys, I have just upgraded to an M2000 after 2.5 years with an SPV and an E200 and I am just getting to grips with it. I have one question though, is it possible to access/stream content from my (wi-fi) home network? If so how can I do it, I cannot find what I need in the settings. Thanks

Thanks <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Your M2000 should automatically pick up the signal from your Wifi router. In the toolbar at the bottom on the home screen there should be an icon that looks like a blue bowling pin. Check that this doesn't have a red line through it. If it does, tap it and it should start scanning for a wireless network. You may also want to check the your wireless router is not set to just accept connections from the existing computers in your house.
Guest dannywaddington Posted June 30, 2005 Report Posted June 30, 2005 But of a late reply, but I think he was talking about streaming files from one of his existing computers, such as MP3s, without having to plug the phone in, copy them over to SD card and then listen. I would also like to know how to access files from a shared directory on an existing PC, such as an MP3's directory.
Guest Wozbacca Posted July 1, 2005 Report Posted July 1, 2005 resco file explorer has built in network browsing, so you can map drives to a shared resource on your network. i've managed to get mp3s and xvid video files streamed over wireless. works great for about 10 seconds of video, but then it pauses for a few seconds... im not sure if this is a bug with betaplayer, or if its a bandwidth issue. mp3s work nicely, i can hook up the 2.5mm output to my big stereo in my lounge, and have access to 60gb of mp3s wirelessly. genius eh?

There is a good discription and link on this page.
