Dear all,

I've not been on this website for a long time: since I got rid of my origonal SPV. I've since bought an SPV C500 on Orange which I've had a number of weeks.

Unfortunately I had an accident on the tube this morning and have totally smashed the screen. Orange have approved my insurance request and my replacement handset will arrive tomorrow.

In the mean time I'd really like to keep my numbers and text messages by backing them up to my laptop. Does anyone know exactly which files are used for containing this information, and how these files may be backed up in a way which will allow those files to be transferred onto the new device?.

I'm sure you can understand what I'm trying to accomplish here: other trivial things such as music and pictures are all stored on my sd card. I would appreciate any help/suggestions that may assist me with this matter. The girl at Orange was not able to assist.

Kind Regards,

Ben

have a look at Microsoft's website - there's a program called Activesync remote display which is available to download. Connect to your PC via activesync and you can see your screen on your PC.
