Guest Transform Posted June 20, 2005 Report Posted June 20, 2005 after taking a video clip, i tried to play it in pocket tv and windowms media player so that i can see it in full screen but neither work. is it the format? the video is mpeg4 and pocket tv is looking for mpeg1 and i guess media player looks for wma?
Guest Confused Stu Posted June 20, 2005 Report Posted June 20, 2005 Yeah, it is the format. The MPEG4 format can be viewed by the PacketVideoPlayer included with the C500. Windows Media Player can play WMV video, PocketTV can play MPEG1, Betaplayer can play WMV (if your phone is 2003 or 2003SE and you've got WMP9), MPEG1, some MPEG4 (depends on the audio codec), AVI (inc DivX), and a couple of others, I think. In short, either get the video in something other than MPEG4 format or play it in pvPlayer (which I'm not sure does full screen).
Guest Transform Posted June 20, 2005 Report Posted June 20, 2005 if i want to play it with pv player where to i put the file so that i can open it in pv player?
Guest Confused Stu Posted June 20, 2005 Report Posted June 20, 2005 Not too sure, mate. I've got a few stored on my memory card (not in a special folder or anything) and just clicking on them in SmartExplorer open pvPlayer and they happily run. Unfortunately, I can't find a way to open a file from within pvPlayer, so it needs to be a case of getting the file to open pvPlayer rather than the other way round. Didn't need to do anything special to get the files to open in pvPlayer, so can't even offer any advice as to how to get it to work if it's not! Sorry.
Guest martin Posted June 20, 2005 Report Posted June 20, 2005 You can store the files to either phone memory or SD card in the 'My Documents' folder. PV Player should automatically pick them up although you may have re-open the application ;)
