Guest petermatheson1 Posted June 20, 2005 Report Posted June 20, 2005 Searching around ebay I found an E200 for sale along with the TTM software SD card. I am about to sell my E200 which has TTM installed and so was looking around at what kinda prices they were going for. I will not post the link to the sale on ebay unless i'm definately allowed, but is this not illegal? He does not say anywhere that you get the product code / license for tomtom, infact you don't even get the bluetooth receiver. Could this be a tacky way of making more money? I could sell them the MMC card with TTM installed onto with my E200...Yet i would still own the product license for TTM, as well as the bluetooth receiver, product code etc.. that I bought originally?
Guest mcwarre Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 Please re-read what you have written; it is obvious that it would be either dodgy, at best, or illegal, at worst...... People selling these on eBay have been reported to TomTom
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 The EULA states that you are not allowed to transfer the licence to another user, so if anyone bought TomTom secondhand via ebay etc they would not have any legal right to actually use it.
