I am looking to buy an unlocked SMT-5600 or get one from Cingualr and then unlock it. Before I spend the cash on it I was hoping to get some questions answered. I have done the search on this site and others but I am still confused. Was hoping someone would be kind enough to answer a few questions.

1) Will this phone, once unlocked, work in China? I travel a lot to this region and I can buy a SIM card for the phone, but I am not sure if it would work once I do this. This is actually a key-point before buiying one.

2) I understand the OS is WM2003 SE, is the same OS as a Pocket PC PDA and if I purchase a program for a Pocket PC PDA is it still usuable with the smartphone?

3) I like to Geo-Cache and will need to use a GPSr to get the satelite signals to coordinate my location. Is there a GPSr available and compatible with the SMT-5600?

4) Yahoo and Audible are a couple services I am subscribed to, and they claim to be compatible with the SMT-5600. Has anyone tried these services and if so would unlocking the phone have a diverse effect on this?

Thanks in advance.

Can only answer the second one.

No, you cannot run most Pocket PC apps on a smartphone. No touchscreen, you see. quite a few apps have smartphone versions though.

They're both WM2003SE but the phone uses the smartphone edition rather than the pocket PC edition.
