Guest alexander.gq Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 Syncing my calendar, contacts and tasks with my smartphone and Outlook is awesome! I love it but there's just one problem. I type in my schedule on the computer using Outlook and then I sync then with my smartphone via ActiveSync right? Everything seems fine but the time of every event on my smartphone is 1 hour ahead than what I typed in on Outlook! I have to manually go into the calendar on my smartphone and change the time back 1 hour. I don't get why it is doing this... Can anyone help? Thanks.
Guest Confused Stu Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 OK, stupid question time. Are both phone and PC set to the same time zone? On the phone it's under Start / Settings / More / Date and Time and (on my PC at least) it's double clicking the time on the toolbar and then selecting "Time Zone" tab. If it's not that, I wonder if it's something to do with daylight savings time? My phone (C500) automatically adjusts for DST as does my PC. If one's on the blink then that could explain the hour difference. Also, when I Activesync my phone to the PC it automatically picks up the time from the PC (and my PC's set to automatically update from the internet) so if it's out it's gotta be one of the settings - if none of the above are the solution then post back and someone with more brains than me will be along in a minute! ;)

Guest alexander.gq Posted June 22, 2005 Report Posted June 22, 2005 Both my PC and smartphone were set to the same time zone... But I started thinking about the DST point Stu made so I double-clicked on the time on the windows toolbar on my PC, clicked the time zone tab and then checked the box that automatically adjusts clock for DST. i messed around with Outlook's calendar, synced it with my smartphone, and now the times are the same. weird...
