Problems after Firware upgrade SPV 500!

Hi!

I have a SPV 500 from England. I downloaded the new firmware 4.1.1.4 and follow the instructions. At 93% I got an error saying the sync lost it's connection to the phone and that I should reboot the phone and try again. Now when I start up the phone it just goes into "Canary" mode and I don't get any sync to my Activesync. The phone registers that I plug in the USB cabel but no sync. I have tried to hard reset it but I just get the canary screen.

Am I doomed? Please!??!!?

Ensure your firewall is deactivated, that the usb cable is plugged directly into the PC usb (not a hub) and then reconnect the phone. Activesync won't connect but you should still be able to run the update again with the device in the boot loader screen (Canary mode as you put it)
