Mid-Call MF digit dialling using Contact List?

I use an 0800 Mobile Override service (Onetel) for making cheap rate calls. To use this service, I must first dial the Mobile override service number (eg 0800 XXX XXX), wait for record announcement, then dial the final destination number.

Although I can manually type the destination number, I can’t select it from my contact list. The only options available on the SPV during Mid-call are ‘end call’, ‘hold’, ‘Mute’ and ‘save contact’, but no option to select a number from the contact list. This is frustrating since I have to remember the destination number when using the Mobile Override service :evil:

Is this a drop off in SPV functionality, or have I done something wrong?

I’ve tried going to the home screen and selecting a contact to dial mid call, but this serves only to set up a second call. Not what I really require.
