Guest Vector Posted March 26, 2003 Report Posted March 26, 2003 OMG, it looks amazing :) ;) :D http://www.msmobiles.com/news.php/501.html
Guest Simon Desser Posted March 26, 2003 Report Posted March 26, 2003 Cool :!: Next it'll be a steering wheel and accelerator pedals :)
Guest Vector Posted March 26, 2003 Report Posted March 26, 2003 Who needs the Tanager joystick when you've got this :)
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted March 26, 2003 Report Posted March 26, 2003 So you just mash the keyboard with your fist and pretend you're holding a joystick? I'll believe it when i see it ;p
Guest Geniarse Posted March 26, 2003 Report Posted March 26, 2003 What is next Tuesday... Bit of an early one I think.
Guest benjymous Posted March 26, 2003 Report Posted March 26, 2003 So you just mash the keyboard with your fist and pretend you're holding a joystick? I'll believe it when i see it ;p I had a driving game on the spectrum that used a roll of sellotape placed over the number keys as it's control method (you'd roll it left and right to steer)
Guest Will Posted March 26, 2003 Report Posted March 26, 2003 I had a driving game on the spectrum that used a roll of sellotape placed over the number keys as it's control method (you'd roll it left and right to steer) Good grief that brings back memories.. Was it chequered flag.. or have i got to dig out my speccy bits to check! - did you ever do better with selotape=wheel or revert to keys like most people.. (and COULD YOU EVER FIND THE SELOTAPE) Will
Guest benjymous Posted March 26, 2003 Report Posted March 26, 2003 did you ever do better with selotape=wheel or revert to keys like most people.. (and COULD YOU EVER FIND THE SELOTAPE) Nah, it never worked well enough for me. It's like I tend to end up using digital control on PS2 games over the analog sticks
Guest midnight Posted March 26, 2003 Report Posted March 26, 2003 no way, analog is easily better, especially for driving games, altho, the analog buttons are a bit of a joke, i mean, its a driving game, why would you want to go anything less than full speed
Guest Gorskar Posted March 26, 2003 Report Posted March 26, 2003 I like the look of that mini joystick. With one of those games like quake could be a very real possibility. Also should make Motocross stunt racer much easier to control! If the price is right I might end up getting both that and the keyboard. (although I do realise you can only use one at once!)
Guest fraser Posted March 26, 2003 Report Posted March 26, 2003 midnight, the analogue buttons are great. I use variable acceleration in GTA 3:VC all the time, especially when bombing around at high speed on the motorbikes. Plus, I'm not sure if any games have done this, but the game software can tell how annoyed/frustrated you are by how hard you are hitting the buttons. Interesting possibilities...

Guest Flash Posted March 26, 2003 Report Posted March 26, 2003 What is next Tuesday... Bit of an early one I think. Yeah, smells like an April fool doesn't it! And if it isn't, it sure looks like a stupid idea.
Guest vijay555 Posted March 26, 2003 Report Posted March 26, 2003 sorry about that Monolithix, i just thought it was relevant in different ways in different threads. Won't do it again. V
Guest Mr_Protozoa Posted March 27, 2003 Report Posted March 27, 2003 Who's actually going to use the keyboard as a joystick in public anyway?! You'll look like some sort of chimp mashing the keyboard. Oook Oook! You'll become the freak on the train who nobody wants to sit next to.
Guest Mr_Protozoa Posted March 27, 2003 Report Posted March 27, 2003 was supposed to be the sound of a monkey. but librarians have been known to make that sound too.
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted March 27, 2003 Report Posted March 27, 2003 oook oook? librarian? Did you just call him a monkey...?
Guest amo Posted March 27, 2003 Report Posted March 27, 2003 Lol, comedy conversation as per usual on the forums..
