Can someone please help me out Ive only had my SMT for about 2 weeks since Cingular decided to send me this instead of my MPX220. So anyway, I bought a new 512mb mini sd card and put a avi fiiles on it, I also downloaded divx for smartphones... easy enough right? now why is it that when I try and play any of the .avi files it gives me an error message about the sound not working? I cant get to any setting where it would show the sound not working... the phone plays mp3's and mpg files great. so after an hour of frustration i downloaded beta player and when i tried to install that, it says that the program wont install because its not made for my device... hmm wtf? then i go and get an unlocker for the phone to see if that works, and behold, same problems... im pulling my hair out because im pretty familiar with Smartphones and know my way around them, but I cant figure for the life of me whats wrong. also i tried to encode my on avi files from dvd's and other media files ony to get the same messages. can someone please help me out?!

Hmmm... Couple of questions if you don't mind. Which version of Betaplayer are you trying to install (v0.5 is the most recent, possibly older ones won't work on your phone)?

Also, have you got a small enough AVI that you could post on this forum? That way we can have a look and hopefully see what's wrong.

If you want, I've got PocketDivxEncoder on my PC to convert files into Divx and it's never given me a problem. The homepage is:

http://divx.ppccool.com/langue.php?lang=EN...4f9ad4f1f424a1a

and betaplayer's on:

http://betaplayer.corecodec.org

I'm not trying to teach you to suck eggs, but I'm just thinking if we can rule out some of the possible reasons one by one then maybe we can find the solution! ;)
