Does anyone know if WinCE 4.2 can upgrade to 5.0?

Hi,

I am having some SMT5600 issues that may or may not be bugs. I currently have Win CE 4.2.1 I have gone to the Microsoft download site and found downloads for Win CE 4.2, and also for Win CE 5.0. It makes sense in the context of other software setups such as PCs that upgrading to a higher number release is always possible, but given some of the complaints from people posting to this site, I am not prepared just to jump in and ruin my phone without looking a bit to see if I will land on my feet. (I can find nothing in the MS Knowledge base on this)
