Global Flag List Settings

In the loader thing there's this list of flags which can be set on or off. I can't find any reference to these on the website. Does anyone know what these do?

XPanel sounds exciting but i'm too scared to switch it on. Also Reset GSM is set to on as a default, could this be the answer to using the phone with another sim without it expiring?

Cheers, Dan.

Here's my bit:

The Log flag shows up a log on boot (replacing the Orange sunset screen), which looks a bit like this:

1.16

1.10.00

LOG ON

XPANEL OFF

RESET_GSM ON

RED_SCREEN OFF

DATA_RX OFF

FLASH_WRITE_IND ON

NO_SLEEP OFF

NO_1MIN_WAKEUP OFF

TimeTick=01 ms

Sorry, I didn't make it clear.

Basically, if you enable the Log flag, you know where it normally shows the Orange sunset screen?

It replaces that with:

1.16

1.10.00

LOG ON

XPANEL OFF

RESET_GSM ON

RED_SCREEN OFF

DATA_RX OFF

FLASH_WRITE_IND ON

NO_SLEEP OFF

NO_1MIN_WAKEUP OFF

TimeTick=01 ms

on a white background.

If you don't understand, try it yourself - didn't cause my phone any visible harm.

I've only tried XPanel and Log - remember that you can access this menu again regardless of which option you select, which means you can disable an option you've enabled which has cocked up the OS or vice-versa...

Do you reckon that if you swiched on NO1MINWAKEUP it would stop it from taking a minute to switch on?

Sounds wacky but it might be the same as doing a quick POST on a PC to speed through the memory checks and stuff.

I can't believe that i'm such a wuss that i won't try it on my own phone first.

(Isn't wacky a cool word?)

The Log flag puts two files in the root directory, DebugLog0.txt and DebugLog1.txt.

DebugLog0.txt includes some weird stuff:

#21  01/18 20:13:11  ATCMD W>::AT+CMUT=0;+CBST=7,0,1;+CRLP=61,61,48,6;+CMEE=1;+CRC=1;+CR=1;+CMOD=0;+CREG=1;+F

LASS=0;+CSSN=0,1;+CLIP=1;+COLP=0;+CCWA=1;+CSCS="HEX";+CMGF=0

#22  01/18 20:13:11  ICR::=71,0,54,0,54,0,71,0

#23  01/18 20:13:11  ICR::=211,0,56,0,56,0,211,0

#24  01/18 20:13:11  ATCMD R>::0

#25  01/18 20:13:11  ICR::=211,0,56,0,56,0,211,0

etc upto line #307.

Yes the 1MIN wakeup idea is wacky, and doesn't work ;)

"Red sreen" or RED_SCREEN doesn't do anything visible.

Well with the XDA (very similar device) you can use an RS232 connector (serial) to connect to the phone and perform some VERY intesrting functions including iterrogating and modifying the rom, that means you can read the SIM LOCK code i imagine you can do the same on smartphone. check out http://xda-developers.com.

The xpanel has something todo with this i would imagine and data_rx indicating a read flag.

Im not toally sure about this and im definately not trying this because you can really f*ck your phone up!
