Guest wideawake Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 I have searched forum before posting....... OK Have been using my SPV as a GPRS modem with my PC through IrDa for some time. It works most of the time (occasional disconnection). I am using the orange AT string. BUT..... 1. If I have accessed Internet Exporer through my SPV, when I try to use SPV a a modem it will not work, I have to reboot SPV then try. If I have been browsing on my PC using the SPV then disconnect Irda, I can not browse on SPV or reconnect on PC, without rebooting SPV. 2. Also now that my phone has its cert modified is it possible for a modem driver to be written so that I can use as USB modem (not that I have the skill to do this)? 3. Last thing, when I have received sms, I get two views, one shows the full text message, and I move to the next by using left/right button, another view is when all sms are listed one on top of each other. There seems to be not consistency in this, (I can not change manually) The problem is when I receive an email I sometimes want to download. The option does not appear if you are "viewing" whole email. But does when sms are listed on top of each other. Any solutions????? I know I say it every time I post, but........ I Love my SPV. Paul.... When is Jabber CE ready for distribution??

Click the back key to go to inbox view, rather than message view. Also in inbox view it will remember which folder you were last in (inbox, sent items... etc.) Barry
Guest Firaas Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 2. Also now that my phone has its cert modified is it possible for a modem driver to be written so that I can use as USB modem (not that I have the skill to do this)? The driver needs to be written on the PC side, not the phone, so theoretically it can be written without the phone being un-certification-locked.
Guest wideawake Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 Firaas, Oh I see, in that case, can some one write me a modem driver please.................................. I can't wait for Orange or Microsoft! Barry, that works, cheers!
