Guest anders_g Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 Hi everybody Is it possible to run ICQ on the phone. Is it possible to install the Pocket ICQ ftp://ftp.icq.com/pub/ICQ_PocketPC/ICQ_v1....0_PocketPC.exe on a cert unlocked SPV? Or do you know other versions of ICQ for SPV? Kind regards Anders
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 Nope, it won't work. The only option at the moment is to wait for the upcoming JabberCE (SmartPhone version). P

Guest Hax Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 Paul (or anyone), any idea of when JabberCE will be released? Thanks, Hax
Guest The Futures Bright Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 ICQ Via WAP, hope thats of some use to you. ;) http://www.icq.com/wireless/wap/connect.html
Guest Firaas Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 Try ICQ for iMode - it's the Japanese small-page web browsing thingy... (which SHOULD work on the SPV) http://www.icq.com/wireless/imode/index.html and http://www.icq.com/wireless/imode/ICQ_for_...%2022_12_02.pdf
Guest anders_g Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 Just got this answer from the jabberCE team Anders, Yes the application is signed for the Orange SPV. The release will come early this week on Handango. Thank You
Guest budda Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 Try ICQ for iMode - it's the Japanese small-page web browsing thingy... (which SHOULD work on the SPV) http://www.icq.com/wireless/imode/index.html and http://www.icq.com/wireless/imode/ICQ_for_iMode_User_Guide_%2022_12_02.pdf Looks good! Hmm, it doesn't say anywhere in the user guide or website exactly how to access the iMode site other than entering "ICQ:" in the web browser of an iMode compatible phone. ...do you know something I don't Firaas?
Guest smartphone-web.com Posted May 30, 2003 Report Posted May 30, 2003 It is released now: http://www.movsoftware.com/products/imov/s.../smartphone.htm
Guest budda Posted May 30, 2003 Report Posted May 30, 2003 Erm, how is iMov different to the existing Jabber client for the SPV?
