Guest Erhnam Posted June 24, 2005 Report Posted June 24, 2005 I upgraded my firmware to the latest WM 2003 (French update). SPL versions 2.00.0013. From what I understoot to upgrade to WM 2005. You'll first need to downgrade you spv (as well you boot firmware version). Is there an easy way to do this? I tried to downgrade to the UK version but the bootloader version is still the same.. (PS: I don't have a cardreader)

Guest mupwangle Posted June 25, 2005 Report Posted June 25, 2005 Last I'd heard is that if you install the french rom then you'll have a hard time changing back. I may be wrong though. Personally I have no desire to run the WM2005 rom. There doesn't seem to be that much of a difference and it doesn't seem to be designed to run on the typhoon. To me it's a bit lit installing Windows XP on a PIII 500Mhz with 128Mb RAM. I can (Technically) run it but it runs like a pregnant pig. I'll be happy enough when orange eventually release the new win2003se rom. ;-)
Guest sx125 Posted June 25, 2005 Report Posted June 25, 2005 just download nbf tools with the emergancy plugin, then you are able to flash to any bootloader. even back to 1.xxxx if you will install wm 5 you will stuck with that, very difficult to go back

WM2005 isnt really worth it though. Sure it looks nice, has some better features and runs alot faster but its not finished. The camera support is very bad and no support for MMS. You'll find that File Manager and Task Manager arent included either.
