I installed some THEME on my smartphone this morning, then suddenly I found that I can't turn the volume up and down now!

Seems that the volume key is binded to something else in the Registry.

Does anyone know which key in the Registry is about the volume key??

Please help me, my C500 is a dummy now. :| :| :)

i had the same problem. when i recieved my c500 second hand it had a theme on it and the theme took off the volume control so when i tried to change the volume there was no visual volume bar on the screen although it still changed when having a convosation. to get the volume bar back i had to hard reset the phone although i only just got it so i didnt lose much. hope this helps.

Thank you. But I really don't wanna have a hard reset T_T...

I hope I had backup my registry, but the last backup was on March, too old.

I suppose that there must be a key in registry that can control the volume key or the volume background.

PROBLEM SOLVED!

The key is

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\:VolDlg

Yesterday I installed a 'PUCCA' theme, it changed the "BKBitmapFile" key's value into it's Storage\Application Data\Home\pucca_vol.gif, when I uninstalled the theme, the .gif file was deleted, then the volume control screen is missing.

Now I put a blank gif file name 'volume.gif' in the windows directory then replace the "BKBitmapFile" value with 'storage\windows\volume.gif', everything back to normal now!!!
