Guest Magnetic_dud Posted June 24, 2005 Report Posted June 24, 2005 What do you think of a bluetooth wi-fi adapter? (from here I'll call it btfi) bt is integrated in many pda and sp, and t offer low power comsumption wifi is more powerful than bt but, instead of buying a sd wifi card, what if we can but a btfi to be held in our pocket? it's slower, but imo is more practical. Battery life in this way will be less affected. And the wep kay and the ap-id will be setted by browser or specific program Of course this toy must be powered by rechargeable lithium batteries :)
Guest ninspector Posted July 25, 2005 Report Posted July 25, 2005 Id love one <{POST_SNAPBACK}> what is the strong point of wi-fi? The high speed Therefore, if we develop a apparatus which use BT to connect wi-fi module with smartphone, I do not think it is worthwhile and It will not have much difference with GPRS connection which has already contained in smartphone itself.
Guest Magnetic_dud Posted July 25, 2005 Report Posted July 25, 2005 but in this way you can use internet using a wi-fi hot spot :)
