Guest spiderboy Posted March 26, 2003 Report Posted March 26, 2003 Could anybody who has figured out how to do the following please lend some advice. When using the "Remote Display Control for Windows CE" to remotly controll your SPV on your PC, what keys is used to send action controls like the Programs menu key or changing typing fr t9 to 123. Does anyone know what these "special" keys are and if so do you mind sharing them. :?:

Guest ben1598 Posted March 26, 2003 Report Posted March 26, 2003 changing typing fr t9 to 123. Does anyone know what these "special" keys are and if so do you mind sharing them. Â I don't really think there is a need to change between 123 and t9, it is much quicker just to type it on your keyboard.
Guest jhew Posted March 27, 2003 Report Posted March 27, 2003 Here's a key chart for this app that I put together so I had a single reference for when I forgot what button to push..... For switching between T9/123/abc, just press and hold down F8 as that key corresponds to '*' on the SPV. Hope it helpsspv remote chart.jpg
Guest mitchw Posted May 30, 2003 Report Posted May 30, 2003 Yes, there is a native Smartphone 2002 version. I was responsible for porting the application over to the Smartphone. I also fixed a few bugs and added a few features, such as the ability to natively take screenshots, and a fullscreen mode useful for presentations. The application is done, we are just in the process of getting it signed and released. Not sure when this will occur, but it should be real "soon" now. Just to tease you a bit, I have a couple of screenshots of the phone side of the application. http://www.mitchw.net/smartphone/screenshot1.jpg http://www.mitchw.net/smartphone/screenshot2.jpg
Guest capt_janeway Posted May 30, 2003 Report Posted May 30, 2003 Mitch I cannot connect - might be me but forewarned......
Guest mitchw Posted May 30, 2003 Report Posted May 30, 2003 I just registered the domain a couple of days ago, so it may not resolve everywhere yet.
Guest MoRFLeZ Posted May 30, 2003 Report Posted May 30, 2003 Looking good! I'm syked for sure! Can't wait *hop hop* etc etc *cackles with insane glee*
Guest youngerpants Posted May 30, 2003 Report Posted May 30, 2003 The one thing I would really like to see would be the ability to pick up a call and invoke speaker-phone via the PC. I'll never have to nuke my head with microwaves again.
Guest Brody Posted May 30, 2003 Report Posted May 30, 2003 Any chance of posting the screenshots as an attachment as i can't see them for some reason!!?
Guest smartphone-web.com Posted May 30, 2003 Report Posted May 30, 2003 :lol:screenshot2.jpgscreenshot1.jpg
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted May 30, 2003 Report Posted May 30, 2003 Saw this on an MS webcast a few months back, been waiting for a release ever since
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted May 30, 2003 Report Posted May 30, 2003 Yeah! Who needs a signed version anyway? Gimme gimme  P
Guest Bonzo Posted May 30, 2003 Report Posted May 30, 2003 To do the change from T9 etc or get symbols etc. just use the F8 and F9 keys on the PC... F8 emulates the * key on the phone and F9 the # key... just use them as if U were using those keys on the phone Hope this helps 8)
Guest Maverick Posted September 12, 2003 Report Posted September 12, 2003 I used a Windows Resource Editor and re-sized the dialog boxes of this app to fit into the smartphone screen!! Is there any other Pocket PC app out there, that runs on SP, but not very useful becoz the window size is too big?
