I have set my alarm and now I am unable to turn it off. It will not let me go into the Date and Time settings. has anyone got an idea how to sort it?

Welcome to the site

if your phone is new and you live in the UK you probably have

the UK update which this problem has been heard of before in SettingsSecurity

but not in date and time :?

Is it going to the date and time menu but throwing you back to the home screen?

Try to press the back button to see if you can return to the settings page, if not

try and power down your phone and restart to see if this helps.

If it does not you may need to try a hard reset to fix the problem.

Let us know how you get on.

Thanks for your quick response.

It is a new phone. When I go to settings/date and time it brings up an error message saying settings couldnt be opened..

I have turned off my phone and it still does the same thing.

Ok sound like you need to do a hard reset,

remember this will revert the phone back to it's original

out of the box state.

try this link here to perform a hard rest.

The one note to make is that after you have erased the IPSM part

of the instructions there is now no "press END" just press and hold the

power button to restart the phone.

Removing the battery is now no longer needed as well.

Hope this helps

Sorry I forgot to post that the timing to get to the boot screen can be quite tricky

with the newer updates.

So if you have problems don't give up and post exactly what you are doing,

so we can guide you better
