My first one had a problem, but was replaced quickly!

My current one is perfect and I love it (had it for 2 months).

Just get one!

Most problems you might get can be sorted out by looking at this forum.

And for serious bugs you'll get a replacement in 24 hours.

Also: My Nokias all had bugs and problems, too.

Don't be put off by the scare stories. Read some of the comments on apps such as GNUBoy/PocketMVP/All+Smart Explorer etc...

Especially post update the phone really is a nice piece of kit and does its job very well.

Definitely *not* a lemon. This little phone really does have a lot of features and really is very good. Allows full e-mail support, web browsing (with the exception of sites with frames :( ), plays mp3's and movies (either wmv or DivX) and has *good* games and game emulators available - oh and it has this quaint little feature that lets you make telephone calls as well

Yes sure, it does have a few problems, but most of these have been ironed out with the latest update (that's another plus point - you get software updates to fix problems - never got that with my Nokias!). The main problem I have with it at the moment is Orange seem to have done something in the last update (either intentionally or by accident) that limits the speed of the GPRS connection - too slow for streaming audio, never mind video! But when it did work, that was a fantastic feature in it's own right!

One last feature - will make your mates green with envy ;)

HTH,

Hax

i dont think i have to say how much i like this phone (i wouldnt have an spv specific site otherwise), trust me, this phone is the mutts nuts, and the arguments that arise get fixed almost on a daily basis at the monet (picture to caller id being a fine example), half of the problems encountered are surprisingly simple to fix (many even include people not reading the manual, not that i have either, but thats another story)

but seriously it rox, and the only people i originally saw complaining about it didnt even own the phone, or had only owned it for a few days and even then it was usually petty little arguments. Go and check one out for yourself at the local orange shop or somethin, but i highly recommend them.

It's amusing really that the Orange shops have "out of the box" SPVs to demo; especially before the update that probably put a lot of people off becuase they were sloooow (O homescreen, button click sound on etc). Now what if they had fully MoDaCo'd SPVs to show off? With a built in gameboy, cool Smartphony homescreen (to appeal to the Nokia defectors ) and talking keypad they'd fly off the shelves! Add changeable covers and Nokia would be worried

yeh, true, a boring standard spv cant compete with a fully customised version , its gadgets people like, and if thought had gone into it before release, more of these fatures may have come through as standard.

Oh and whats with the standard orange skins? totally hopeless, when will companies learn that if something is skinnable then at least have a totally kick ass skin or skins and show the skins off on the website or something, its amazing how many people dont buy a phone for functionality but buy them simply for looks.
