V3 Decerter. I NEED YOUR HELP!

Recommended Posts

Posted

I'm currently about to re-code this. But I need your help.

Firstly, please use the poll to indicate if you used the loop function.

Secondly, please could you post if you have a build OTHER Than 12255, and if the application worked, or failed.

Thirdly, any changes to the interface you would like to see.

(ie re-wording for the prompts etc).

INFO:

I will not EVER include the instructions for actually performing the Hard Reset in the application.

There is no easy way for me to make this decertify Dansk Update 2.

With your help, we can make this application better.

I used version 2 when I had to hard reset my phone, and it worked the first time, flawlessly. I have recommended it to others.

Please PM when v3 and any other new version is available, because I sell SPV over here in the U.S., and to other people all across the world, and your application makes it easy for my customers to release the full power of their phone (decertification), and they don't have to go through all of those instructions, and then get mad at me when they don't understand, LOL.

Great App!!!!

it only worked for me if i stopped it copying after it had copied about twice/three times, if i left it copying until the phone had fully booted then it didnt work.

I agree. The loop parameter was the only way I got it to work. Keep it in. (Windows 98 user)

As mentioned before I had to turn of the loop to get it to work, I was however just letting the loop run until the phone started so maybe that was my problem.

The prompts etc are fine - difinately better than the ones on Oranges update - as I said a fantastic piece of software and

Hey Will,

Great app - worked 1st time after I got my new spv to replace the scratched one (using the headset profile bug as an excuse!)

One question - how do you reference the Smartphone directories in code : is your prog in VB? Is it mapped to a drive letter or is there do you have to use some specific smartphone SDK API?

Cheers

it directly references the phone using RAPI..

Kinda hacked together, as i am still building the full RAPI library.

Yeah, keep the loop, is that not the whole point of the tool?

All I can suggest is to improve the user interaction a bit. Make the instructions more step-by-step e.g.:

1 Make sure you've backed up any important data as all will be lost. Click OK to continue

2 Switch the phone off and power up holding down the voice memo button

You get the idea, use a Wizard dialog box maybe?!? Make it self explanitory, so that you don't need to know anything about de-certing, the tool explains what to do as you go along.

I'm trying to unlock 3 different spv and they all have v1.3.6.22 and ms 3.0.12255.0 (they come from switzerland) and I was never able to unlock them!!!

The v2decerter works fine and it copies the file before the spv boots (when there is still the blue smartphone2002 logo) but then the phone automatically reboot after a minute and when it boots again the old file is back!!!

Tried with loop enabled and disabled, no luck!

I'm using windows xp pro.

Any clue?

Thank you,

Caio

Orange now have an offical unlock proceedure you can do. Have a look through the Main forum, it may be a sticky at the top of the board.

thank you fraser for your reply

I already tried it but it always can't find my imei/phone number and even the small orange register application connects to the internet but has no success even waiting 30 min connected...

That's why I'm going to try the decerter prog.

Any help appreciated, thank you.

Its an amazing tool, but one suggestion is that you could try to put better error handling because when it tries to decert and there is not an activesync connection present then it stops responding.

also you might want to try putting a step by step guide in the help tab aswell as with the pop-up

All in all a brilliant app

Very appreciated

One thing I have noticed with this app is that When the Pop-up asks you to disconnect the phone and click OK and hard reset it, I found that if you click OK after the Orange screen has gone (after the Hard reset) the reliability is much greater
