Guest Goutetsuu Posted March 27, 2003 Report Posted March 27, 2003 how do you resize a jpeg file to fit on the hme screen? basically i have a jpeg i want and i put it onto the phone and try to use it as my back ground. when its selected, the picture comes out too big and only like a quater is shown. help, what do i do??
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted March 27, 2003 Report Posted March 27, 2003 You'll need something like Paintshop Pro, Photoshop or Microsoft picture editor (comes with office). Open the jpeg, and resize it (there will be an option somewhere in the package you use) to 176x220, or 176x180 to accomodate for the softkey buttons and title bar.
Guest spacemonkey Posted March 27, 2003 Report Posted March 27, 2003 You need to use a photo editing app on your PC... Something like photoshop, or paintshop pro, or (god forbid) paint (that comes free with windows), or ACDSEE which has an editing tool as well as the viewer.
Guest Goutetsuu Posted March 27, 2003 Report Posted March 27, 2003 ok i'll try that.....now off to find an editing tool.....
Guest Geniarse Posted March 27, 2003 Report Posted March 27, 2003 Much easier if you are a Windows XP user is to download Image Resizer - http://download.microsoft.com/download/whi...wertoySetup.exe It's free and also integrates with the Right-Click properties menu.
Guest Syvwlch Posted March 27, 2003 Report Posted March 27, 2003 Use Irfanview, d00d. Free, less than half a meg, batch processing, slideshows, everything you might want in one easy package. www.irfanview.com 'cuz you're worth it
Guest yatpeak Posted March 28, 2003 Report Posted March 28, 2003 you could use paint, and use stretch and skew, but that only works in percentages. Wyatt
Guest davy Posted March 28, 2003 Report Posted March 28, 2003 Irfanview is great. thanks for the pointer, davy.
Guest Syvwlch Posted March 28, 2003 Report Posted March 28, 2003 You're welcome! It's my favourite app, on any platform.
