Has anyone experienced using the SPV on AT-T Wireless GSM service in the states.

I've used my SPV in New York. Don't attempt data calls - tries to connect via WAP & costs a fortune.....even though it never connects!

Voice calls were OK. The battery life seems to be longer - no GPRS roaming!

I live in the states, in Atlanta. I just purchased a Sony Ericsson T68i, which I plan to take the chip out of and use with the SPV when it arrives.

I have 30 days to check out the service and return if its not good. Then comes T-Mobile.

Tried this?

Network : AT&T Wireless GSM/GPRS

Country : USA

GPRS Connections :

GPRS Internet Access

Connects to : "The Internet"

Access Point : "proxy"

Username : blank

Password : blank

Primary DNS : "0.0.0.0"

Secondary DNS : "0.0.0.0"

IP address : blank

I'd like these confirmed...

Will try once my unit arrives. The AT-T website gives you the configuration for the GPRS and WAP, they are both the same ip address. I just want to know if someone has tried it using a SPV phone.

You should probably switch to T-Mobile anyways. AT&T's coverage areas are very small, because their GSM network is so young.

ive been using my SPV with ATT wireless in California for about a month, iit works great!! here's how to do it!:

To get GPRS to work:

To get the phone to work:

If you just unlocked your phone and youre getting the "Network Denied, searching..." error, DO THIS!

- go programs / settings / telephony

band selection and make sure you're on PCS Band

if you aren't .... change it to PCS and it'll restart

if it doesnt automatically find your network, go back into Telephony / More / Networks and choose your network!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To get GPRS to work:

-Go to Settings / Data Connections

-Hit Menu / Edit Connections / GPRS Connections

-Hit Menu / Delete All 3 Orange Connections (GPRS, MMS, WAP) unless you're going to use them with an Orange SIM. I'm not, so I ditched them

-Hit Menu / Add

-Type in the following settings:

Description: ATT GPRS

Connects to: The Internet

Access point: proxy

User Name: leave blank

Password: leave blank

Primary DNS: leave blank

Secondary DNS: leave blank

IP address: leave blank
