Guest benbeni Posted June 24, 2005 Report Posted June 24, 2005 Hi! How can I install the homescreen i download from MaDaCo? Where should I place all the file who caming with the download?
Guest Transform Posted June 24, 2005 Report Posted June 24, 2005 if its a picture for the homescreen you want then you put the image in: storage>application data>home however, if you want a theme then you need to download the file and SAVE it not open it. when i put a cab file somewhere i put it in: storage card>unzipped then use smartexplorer to open the file and run it to install the theme onto your phone. hope this helps. :)
Guest benbeni Posted June 25, 2005 Report Posted June 25, 2005 Yes, thx. But if I must install a plug-in f.eks a analog clock plug-in, what must I do then?
Guest Disco Stu Posted June 25, 2005 Report Posted June 25, 2005 The plugin will be a cab file. It is usually best to install the plugins before the main file, but it probably doesn't matter that much. Click on the 'First 48 Hours' link in my sig for installation instructions on the various file types. :)
Guest benbeni Posted June 25, 2005 Report Posted June 25, 2005 But it is not a cab file... See the picture....It`s file like this.
Guest Transform Posted June 25, 2005 Report Posted June 25, 2005 yes this is probably because you have unzipped the file you want. if its a cab file you dont unzipped it you save it and put the file onto the phone and open the file on the phone.
Guest benbeni Posted June 25, 2005 Report Posted June 25, 2005 But then came "Select a file for open it" an under there came many programs ...what should I open the rar file in?
Guest Transform Posted June 25, 2005 Report Posted June 25, 2005 only cab files will work on the c500 i think
Guest benbeni Posted June 25, 2005 Report Posted June 25, 2005 HMMM...but every theme I download came in rar file. Is it a program who can convert to cab?
Guest Transform Posted June 25, 2005 Report Posted June 25, 2005 from what i know i think rar files go on nokia phones but im not sure for certain. which site are you getting this theme from?
Guest benbeni Posted June 26, 2005 Report Posted June 26, 2005 No problem! I found it out. Thx for the help!
Guest Disco Stu Posted June 26, 2005 Report Posted June 26, 2005 For the sake of completeness : RAR files are effectively the same as ZIP files. Google will find WinRAR as quickly as it will find WinZip. If you download either type, unpack them with the appropriate software (as above) and check the resulting folder contents.
