Guest nlk77 Posted June 25, 2005 Report Posted June 25, 2005 Hi all, Is there a way to delete all the default programs installed in Xphone II? I've noticed that these programs such as IA Caller ID, MultiMedia Album and many jpg files in the Storage folder cannot be deleted. It says Read-Only. I've hard-reset my phone but the default programs couldn't be deleted and running few processes in the background which is rather annoying. Please note that I'm not talking about simple Add/Remove from the Settings feature. You can do that with the programs you've installed yourself but not the default programs. It's not stated there anyway. For advance users, please help. Thanks.
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted June 25, 2005 Report Posted June 25, 2005 You cannot delete the programs as they are in-ROM files but you can prevent them from loading on Startup by moving their LNKs (shortcuts) to a folder on your Storage Card. Have a look at your Startup folder.

I know I can use a Task Manager to kill the process everytime I reboot the phone... but I hope there's a better way out there. Please help. arrggh..
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted June 25, 2005 Report Posted June 25, 2005 You can use the built-in File Manager to move the LNKs.
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted June 25, 2005 Report Posted June 25, 2005 As for the Caller ID program, there is an EXE on Startup named IA_CID_StartUp.exe I think that is the CID application launcher.
