Wifi memory card

I have seen the following forum regarding wifi SD card.

This is a great piece of technology but the million dolar questions for me is it compatible with spv c500

OR

Is there one available for spv c500.

Cant wait to hear more about this from all of you.

Nope - the one you've seen is an SD card WiFi adaptor and the C500 takes MINI SD cards (they are about half the size). The C500 card slot is also totally inside the phone and a WiFi card generally needs to have an aerial poking out of the card slot to work.

So no - there's no WiFi adaptor available for the C500 and as far as I can tell, no plans for one either.

Well dont know about plans.Never know someone somewhere may be developing a protoype that could be attached to the phone. So we can just live with this wishful thought at this very moment and hope for the best and keep looking around.

foe me personally the only thing missing from the c500 is wifi, but with the m500 ( 7 magician) coming out i think this will be a non starter

Well I dont think if m500 comes with wifi in it (correct me if I am wrong). It seems a lot bulkier and defeats the objective of a smart phone as it clearly is a PDA. I dont think It would appeal to a lot of spv c500 user like myself.

I email the support of the manufacturer and asked them about my mobile i-mate SP3i (2003 second edition) and their reply was that it would work fine with smartphone.

Be interesting to see if it works or not

I'd be very scepticle about if that is an actual product or not. Only because it would be the first sd card (mini or otherwise) to support wifi without an external antena. Surely we would have heard something about this before it was put into production. Its also interesting to note the standard sd card has an extension, surely if they can make minsd without then it would be the same for the sd.

So on that note I wouldnt get too excited about it. It looks to be just a badly photoshoped image to generate interest about their standard sd wifi product.

i aggre , but if this product does exist i think it could be a best seller for the c500 so i would be worth alot more investigation.
