Guest rainpl Posted June 25, 2005 Report Posted June 25, 2005 Anyone achieved the downgrade from WM5 to WM2003SE without having sd image? Because i forgot to do the backup and i'm just wondering if there is any (tested) solution to downgrade my SPV C500's operating system.
Guest Seraphic Posted June 25, 2005 Report Posted June 25, 2005 You're asking in the wrong place, go to SPV developers.
Guest beersoft Posted June 25, 2005 Report Posted June 25, 2005 i know im repleating myself but i'll say it again installing leaked and/or illegal roms on your phone is a stupid thing to do unless you know what your doing you might beable to send your phone back to htc and pay them to fix it, but you have voided any warrety you had on the phone ha ha ha ha ha you broke your phone ha ha ha ha ha later owen sick and tired of all the wm5 asking for and ohh its broken posts"
Guest rainpl Posted June 25, 2005 Report Posted June 25, 2005 My WM5 is working,it's not broken. But the fact is that i want still have the choice to switch between WM2003SE and WM5.
Guest Seraphic Posted June 25, 2005 Report Posted June 25, 2005 Then buy two phones, use one for production and one for testing so to speak.

Only seemed to work this way for me, installing other roms after first flashing the bootloader wouldnt boot up. you'll need to adjust the policies in wm2005 with regedit to install the cert.cab needed by typhoontools. (HKLM\Security\Policies\Policies\00001001 = 1 HKLM\Security\Policies\Policies\00001005 = 40) But obviously the most easiest way is to make an SD card image. Edited June 27, 2005 by dave106
Guest rainpl Posted June 27, 2005 Report Posted June 27, 2005 dave106: i sent you PM, could you look at it?
Guest macznik Posted June 27, 2005 Report Posted June 27, 2005 (edited) RE: Beersoft & Seraphic I find your cynical replies to rainpl very disturbing. If you don't have anything to contribute to the subject, please keep your replies to yourselves. Edited June 27, 2005 by macznik
Guest rainpl Posted June 27, 2005 Report Posted June 27, 2005 @macznik: thanks for defense :) i don't care so much and i wouldn't take part in discussion with those two. But there are also people who want to help. One of them is dave106 who provided me a guide and now i'm gonna test it. BTW, macznik: i think we met another place :D Best regards, RaiN.
Guest Seraphic Posted June 27, 2005 Report Posted June 27, 2005 RE: Beersoft & Seraphic I find your cynical replies to rainpl very disturbing. If you don't have anything to contribute to the subject, please keep your replies to yourselves. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> How exactly was my reply cynical? SPV developers is a far better site to ask about this sort of thing, quite why you find that 'very disturbing' is beyond me. And it is a good idea to have two phones (if you can afford it - which I can't) and use one for testing, that isn't cynical either.
Guest rainpl Posted June 27, 2005 Report Posted June 27, 2005 Dave, your solution didn't work for me. Phone keeps starting in three-color mode. I tried to reflash it with different ROMs five times. No luck. Anybody has other solutions, or could help somehow? Best regards, RaiN.
Guest beersoft Posted June 27, 2005 Report Posted June 27, 2005 and my reply was well with the rules iirc (and i normaly am) asking how to take off a rom you shouldn't have on your phone does bend the rules quite alot, im well within my rights to say "you broke your phone, hahaha" because you did something stupid (putting a leaked/illegal rom on it) so posting "I did this, i knew the risks involved and knew i couldn't go back but i did it anyway, now i don't like it help me go back" gets the replys it deserves later Owen
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted June 27, 2005 Report Posted June 27, 2005 Ok enough of the mud slinging. If you choose to use ilegal software then it's the risk you take. MoDaCo is not here to help those who want to use ilegal software. Topic locked
