Losing my .wav files

Hi,

I've put some .wav files in the \storage\windows folder for ringtones and alerts and all work fine, except that every time I switch the phone off and on again they disappear.

Is that right ?

Yup, its right unfortunately. Try putting them in My Documents - that should work ok.

The Windows folder is rewritten by the ROM every time you reboot the phone, which is why your files disappear.

Files for ringtones and all other notifications should go in \Storage \Application Data \Sounds. The latter folder might need creating manually.

Just to add an amendment to the comment that the "Storage/Windows" folder is rewritten every time the phone is rebooted - any changed made to the "Storage/Windows/Start Menu" folder are retained after a reboot.
