Most likely you have associated WMA-files with another application other than Windows Media Player... BetaPlayer maybe as the case was for me... Remove the association and VIOLA! Nik

Nik <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Good Point. Another issue is that WMA files have to be in the /storage/sounds directory in the phone memory to serve as a ringtone. Once placed there, the phone must be reset (turned off and on) in order to make it available as a Ringtone to assign to a contact. If the file is on teh storage card, Media Player will find it and play it, but it won't work as a ringtone. MadSci
