Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted June 26, 2005 Report Posted June 26, 2005 TCPMP test downloads are now available. Quoting picard I managed to resurrect the Windows version. This is the first test version. It's not even an unstable version yet. Please test it and if there are no major problems I will release a new official unstable version. Btw the name changed from BetaPlayer to TCPMP. Don't even ask what's new, because although the interface didn't change much yet, there are a lot of low level changes and fixes. Guest LyonSK Posted June 30, 2005 Report Posted June 30, 2005 TCPMP test downloads are now available. Quoting picard I am testing 0.65y3 on my SPV C500 and I've finded out, that when I switch to homescreen while playing movie, backlight stays permanently on until reboot. Can you please try to fix it, it is making me crazy :) Source: TCPMP Forum Visit the TCPMP Test Download Page: http://picard.exceed.hu/tcpmp/test/ <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Guest Confused Stu Posted June 30, 2005 Report Posted June 30, 2005 In case anyone's worried - don't! Downloaded it a few days ago and it's working out absolutely fine. Compared the "benchmark" tests on my episodes of family guy and it's capable of running them at 180% speed compared to the last stable version which could run at about 130%. As usual, nice job Picard! :)

Guest mavisdavis Posted July 8, 2005 Report Posted July 8, 2005 I've also noticed that when you exit the program it abd reboot your phone it doesn't keep its place and you have to forward through the film again :) this is no good for me as I watch the films at work and have to turn my phone off at times when I enter a meeting, so for the time being Im running Beta player again. But other than that Its an ace program

Also, when I quit it does remember the place in the film. Are you sure you are using the latest version?? At time of posting, latest smartphone version is HERE. EDIT: I see, it was and. Silly of me I understand now. But just tested it with the version I posted and it does save the place even after you've rebooted, so give that a try. Edited July 8, 2005 by Jamma14

Guest nickw Posted January 16, 2006 Report Posted January 16, 2006 I've downloaded various files from the list for Windows Mobile including tcpmp.arm.cabs.0.71.zip, copied to my c500 storage card and tried unzipping but each time it says invalid zip archive.
Guest Disco Stu Posted January 16, 2006 Report Posted January 16, 2006 You need the Smartphone exe file. Connect phone with ActiveSync and run it from your PC. You'll get a screen on the phone asking you whether you want to install it to phone or storage card. ;)
Guest saintone1 Posted March 8, 2006 Report Posted March 8, 2006 Will TCPMP support H.264. I can't get the files to play. Thanks, Joseph
