Hi folks,

Is it possible to listen to audio on the phone with a Bluetooth headset?

I can makes calls etc. but the actual phone audio for things like playing MP3s/WMAs is not transmitted to the headset. I was surprised by this, so is there any way to achieve it?

There is - I think you need to use a task manager program to disable cldial.exe

The connect button on your headset will then connect without going into voice dial.

"i read a trick somewhere on this forum and this is what i do to get music through my bt headset

1. bond the devices

2.select your bluetooth headset as hands-free device

3.start taskmanager and end the process cdial.exe

4.press the call/connect button on your bt headset

now all my sounds go straight to my bt headset icon_smile.gif hope this helps "

Or you can download a small program which probably does the same thing for you, Bluetunes.

Thanks guys. Bluetunes did the job, although i was surprised at the poor quality... to be expected with a Bluetooth headset I guess.

usdiver: I got a minimalist style "Tech" headset off of eBay. Works really well. I don't like those that look like something from Star Trek.

thanks for that...I'll have to have a look. only bad thing about bt though is listening to mp3's you don't have "stereo"... unless you have bt in both ears :-k ... :mrgreen: sorry guys, lol, just kidding...I'm a little slow but not stupid. (thought everyone could use a laugh). Seriously I will have a look, but will miss having stereo....oh well, sometimes you have to trade one thing to get another

In all honesty, the sound quality is quite terrible using bluetooth, definitely not for audiophiles!

It is cool just to be able to do it though! O:)
