Custom calendar actions

Hi,

I'm trying to write an app that will change my profile to/from silent at specific times...

I know other people have asked a few questions about this elsewhere on the board, but the bog-standard answer seems to be "use autoflight", which is a bit overkill for my needs.

Ideally, rather than writing an app that spawns a thread, I'd like to be able to set up calendar appointment with a recognisable keyword in the subject line which I can use to trigger one of my 'custon actions'

So my questions are:

- Does anyone know how to go about intercepting the calendar events so that i can act when needed?

and

- Does anyone know how to change the current profile programatically?
