Guest SARK9 Posted June 28, 2005 Report Posted June 28, 2005 Has anyone been able to open a browser to listen to your XM via the internet on your cell? The links that work on my computer do not on my cell. I know they are talking of integrating into cell phones in the future, but anyone know of a link so smartphone users (with current XM contract) can do it today? It does crash AOL pretty easily, but maybe a way to load and listen on the smartphone?
Guest Snatch Posted June 30, 2005 Report Posted June 30, 2005 Try this: http://www.xstreamxm.com/mobile I haven't tried it through GPRS yet, but it works tunneling through active sync. I've tried with MediaPlayer 9 & 10. Good luck!
Guest SARK9 Posted July 1, 2005 Report Posted July 1, 2005 (edited) THANK YOU! It works great through GPRS, starts itself on WMP10 on the 5600, very clear and live. Just access it with your email, password and you do need to know the channel number that you desire. THANK YOU for the link! And I trot off happily into the sunset to play with my new phone and its features...:) Edited July 3, 2005 by SARK9
Guest Rex Orbis2 Posted July 6, 2005 Report Posted July 6, 2005 Did you have to download anything in particular to work? I get an error everytime it starts up in MP10.
Guest SARK9 Posted July 6, 2005 Report Posted July 6, 2005 No I didn't, I went to the site, had to enter in my username, password and what channel I wanted to listen to and then after a few moments loaded onto WMP10. Do you get the password page or does it try to go directly to WMP10?

I noticed that the high-speed cut out quite a bit while I was using a raming partner of my carrier-haven't tried it back in my home market to know if that's an abberation.
Guest SARK9 Posted July 6, 2005 Report Posted July 6, 2005 The main channels work, like 22mix, etc., the same ones that work online (but doesn't do CNN, those type channels). I tried low power and aside from a slight glitch about every 4 minutes mine worked well. I have not tried it on high yet.
Guest Kalun47 Posted July 7, 2005 Report Posted July 7, 2005 (edited) It doesn't seem to work using the $4.99 t-zones service. it works great using the Actisync passs-through. Thanks for the site. -Kevin EDIT: if anyone can find a way for it to work with the $4.99 t-zones? Edited July 7, 2005 by Kalun47
