Activesync disconnects when connecting to GPRS

Does anyone know how I can avoid Activesync disconnecting from my Audiovox

smt5600 when I open a GPRS connection?

For example, I want to use Remote Display while connecting to Messenger, but once

Messenger is connecting, I will loose my Activesync connection.

Unfortunately I need to connect using the remote display so that I can use

messenger at work since the network blocks most of my internet access. This

used to work on my MPX200 running SmartPhone 2002 for a whole year and a half

until I became the illegitimate child of Cingular ( came over from AT&T) and

the network started having "problems".

You have to go into Settings -> Data Connections, then set your internet connection to be "Pass Through". Also, inside of Active Sync "Options" you have to set the Pass Through connection to be "The Internet".

This works for me.
