Porbably me being stupid but i'm new to smart phones, i've got an e200.

When i put wav's on the sd card, then i go into it on the phone i can listen to the wav but it does not give me the option to 'save as ring tone'....

Should there be seperate folders set up on the sd card as it currently blank? or what am i doing wrong....

I hope that makes sense to someone!!

Cheers

Welcome to the forum! :)

From memory, I don't think the E200 can support Storage Card ringtones as standard. Try putting one in the "My Documents" folder on the card - if the Settings/Sounds menu doesn't pick them up there then it won't anywhere.

Assuming this doesn't work, go to http://www.airfagev.com and download the free "RJV Regtweaks" application. One of the things you can set with this is to have the phone look for ringtones on the storage card. Go into the Ringtones path bit and change "/Windows/" to "/Storage Card/My Tones/" or whichever folder you decide to use. Then go back into Settings and it'll now find any tones in that folder! :D

Don't be so hard on yourself! I made some REAL howlers when I got my first smartphone - I remember having to do three hard resets in the first month after I found out how to edit the phone's registry. 8-[

Don't ever be afraid to ask a question - if you're thinking it I guarantee you at least 3 others are thinking it too. So long as you've at least made an effort to find the answer out for yourself (which I think you always will by the tone of your posts so far) you'll always get a friendly answer! :)

Chill, and enjoy!

Ok then another questions for you! just chucked some wav's in the sounds folder on the actual phone memory and they have been picked up and working :)

Now i want to add a theme just tried adding the futurama theme, but it didn't work as it does not have 'adequate permissions', so i take it i need unblock my phone so i can add themes/software etc?
