Guest Posted June 28, 2005 Report Posted June 28, 2005 Can anybody tell me how to set my M2000 to use the British English dictionary when typing texts or entering text? At present for example it suggests neighbors rather than neighbours. I have looked in regional settings, Word Completion options etc. & can't find it anywhere. With my E200 smartphone I believe it was in message settings but can't find it there either! I find the American spellings so irritating!
Guest justsomeoneelseagain Posted June 29, 2005 Report Posted June 29, 2005 ..yeah, i know what you mean. i find americans irritating too !

Guest justsomeoneelseagain Posted June 30, 2005 Report Posted June 30, 2005 Any constructive replies would be most appreciated! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ..well excuse me for trying to bring humor, oops... i meant humour, to this form ! as for your 'problem' dear, why not do as i did. i opened word and typed out all the british variations of the american spelled words the dictionary spewed out for me. took me all of say five minutes to do... i'm sure you have five minutes to spare... then again, maybe not.. neighbour neighbours neighbouring neighbourhood neighbourhoods colour colours coloured coloureds colouring colouration ..i'm sure you get the picture yes ?
Guest justsomeoneelseagain Posted June 30, 2005 Report Posted June 30, 2005 to everyone, ..having re-read my previous comment i think i need to apologise for it. it wasn't meant in anyway nasty but after reading it back a few times i think it comes across in a way i didn't mean for it to. sorry mr_man, i hope my 'un-official' solution solved your problem ? the in-built dictionary DOES 'learn' new words etc. once again, i apologise if my views come across in a way that others find 'silly'... right paul ! <coughs>

Presumably this only applies to those with T9 dictionaries?
